We can view the back of your eye using Retinal Imaging. This means we can pick up signs of conditions including Glaucoma, Diabetes, Hypertension and Age related Macular Degeneration.
We include Retinal imaging complementary as part of your comprehensive eye examinations.
Our Optometrists takes time to show and explain the images taken of the back of your eye. We feel this will give you a better understanding of the health of your eyes. Subtle changes can be detected by your Optometrist, aiding early diagnosis by comparing stored images.
For a far more in-depth record of the health and condition of you eyes, we recommend OCT. Similar to an MRI, it scans, measures and provides a detailed 3D digital image of the underlying retina. This enables our Optometrists to detect evidence of sight threatening conditions in the deeper structure of the eye, including. • Macular Degeneration / Holes • Diabetic Retinopathy • Glaucoma, all of which could be detected and treated up to 5 Years earlier.
